One Little Egg
Want to help end cruel battery hen farming in the UK? Visit http://www.onelittleegg.co.uk to join in and find out more.
There are 16 million battery hens in the UK living in cages so small they cannot even stretch their wings. By donating one tweet a day, you can help One Little Egg raise vital funds and awareness for the British Hen Welfare Trust, a small UK charity that rehomes ‘spent’ battery hens and works towards a free-range future.

About One Little Egg
One Little Egg is a fundraising initiative to raise money and awareness for the British Hen Welfare Trust to enable them to continue their excellent work rehoming 'spent' battery hens and working with farmers and food manufacturers towards a free-range future. One Little Egg started by swapping an egg for something bigger and better, and will carry on ‘uptrading’ until it has something valuable to auction off for BHWT. People who have joined in the swap include Stephen Fry and artist Ivor Abrahams. There are currently 16 million hens in the UK alone who are confined to cages so small they cannot flap their wings, dustbathe or carry out any of their normal behaviours or instincts. After 16 months in a cage, the vast majority of hens are sent to slaughter. BHWT rehomes a lucky minority as pets, where they go on to live a happy and fulfilled life.
