S.A.D.
Stop Alcohol Deaths, Inc. (S.A.D.) is a 501(c)(3) US non-profit organization was formed after losing my sister Kristine Polastre to alcohol poisoning. We want to bring awareness before another family loses a loved one.
Our major goal is to educate the the youth and adolescents in the United States about the dangers of acute alcohol poisoning. We are committed in teaching people in any way possible about the signs to look out for, what to do if someone is suffering from alcohol poisoning, and what happens to your body.

Alcohol poisoning can happen to anyone, be it if he/she is an alcoholic or not. We’ve heard the stories of college students who binge drink one night to never wake up again. It is a growing problem, and so it’s time that we realize that before it’s too late. 13 drinks in an hour’s time can cause a person’s body to shut down. Even if you do not die from drinking too much in such little time, you could end up with other types of damage (brain, liver, etc.) to your body.

You can help by being aware.

About S.A.D.
Stop Alcohol Deaths (S.A.D.) is an organization that was created to bring awareness to alcohol poisoning. When people think about someone passing away due to alcohol, they usually think it was drunk driving. Wrong. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the number of alcohol-induced deaths, excluding accidents and homicides is 22,073 in the United States.

We want to change this statistic, so that no family has to feel the pain of losing a loved one.
