energy aid
Energy Aid's mission is to achieve sustainable Universal Energy Access for those that have limited or no access today.
1.3 billion people in our world have no access to electricity
2.7 billion people are without clean cooking facilities
Without access to reliable modern energy sources, people are denied the opportunity to make a living, get an education, access critical health services, cook food safely or even keep warm whilst they sleep.
The battle to end poverty is being fought on many fronts, but a focus on energy access - a vital enabling element - has to date been lacking.
Please help us raise awareness and share information by donating a tweet. Thank you.

About energy aid
Energy Aid was launched in December 2011 and will provide investment and resources including data, technology, skills and research across the world’s poorest areas including South America, South Asia and sub Saharan Africa. This will support charities and agencies running or planning energy projects in these regions, helping people to find their own way out of energy poverty. Currently more than 80% of these energy projects are not achieving their goals and charitable investment is under pressure. Energy Aid was created to change this, facilitating investment in and awareness of the importance of energy in development.
